The Small Walachenkopf ( Polish Mały Wołoszyn ) is a mountain in the Polish High Tatras with an altitude of 2144 m npm
Location and surroundings
Below the summit lie the Dolina Roztoki and Dolina Waksmundzka valleys .
It is the peak of the solid mass of the southwestern Walachenköpfe coupled to the mountain pass Kreuzsattel ( Krzyżne borders). The Walachensattel ( Wołoszyńska Szczerbina ) mountain pass separates it from the neighboring summit and highest point of the Great Wallachenkopf massif ( Wielki Wołoszyn ).
etymology
The Polish name Mały Wołoszyn can be translated as Little Wołoszyn .
tourism
From 1903 to 1932 the Kleine Walachenkopf was part of the Orla Perć high-altitude path (Eagle Walk). The section from Kreuzsattel to the Walachenwiese ( Polana pod Wołoszynem ) was closed in 1932. Since then, the area has been a strict nature reserve. It is not accessible to hikers.
