The Great Wlachenkopf ( Polish Wielki Wołoszyn ) is a mountain in the Polish High Tatras with an altitude of 2155  m npm

Location and surroundings

Below the summit are the Roztokatal and Waksmunder valley .

Neighboring peaks in the Walachenkopf massif are the Little Walachenkopf , which is separated from it by the Walachensattel ( Wołoszyńska Szczerbina ) mountain pass , and the Middle Walachenkopf ( Pośredni Wołoszyn ), which is separated from it by the Upper Walachensattel . The Great Wallachenkopf is the highest point of the massif.

etymology

The name Wielki Wołoszyn can be translated as Great Wołoszyn .

tourism

The Great Wallachian Head was part of the Orla Perć High Trail from 1903 to 1932 . The section from Kreuzsattel to Alm Walachenwiese was closed in 1932. Since then, the area has been a strict nature reserve. It is not accessible to hikers.
