The Middle Wlachenkopf ( Polish Pośredni Wołoszyn , also called Przedni Garb ) is a mountain in the Polish High Tatras with an altitude of 2117 m npm
Location and surroundings
Below the summit are the Roztokatal and Waksmunder valley .
Neighboring peaks in the Walachenköpf massif are the Great Walachenkopf , which is separated from it by the Upper Walachensattel ( Wyżnia Wołoszyńska Przełęcz ) mountain pass , and the Front Walachenkopf ( Skrajny Wołoszyn ), which is separated from it by the Lower Walachensattel ( Niżnia Wołoszyńska ) pass .
etymology
The name Pośredni Wołoszyn can be translated as Middle Wołoszyn . The alternative name Przedni Garb can be translated as front hump .
tourism
The Pośredni Wołoszyn was part of the Orla Perć High Trail from 1903 to 1932 . The portion from the mountain pass Kreuzsattel to Alm Wlachenwiese ( Polana pod Wołoszynem ) was closed 1932nd Since then, the area has been a strict nature reserve. It is not accessible to hikers.
