geography

River course

The river arises about 4 km west of Mount Remus on the northwest corner of the Cradle Mountain Lake St. Clair National Park from the Fury River and Mackintosh Creek . Lake Mackintosh , which stretches almost the entire length of the river , also begins there. In it, the Mackintosh River curves first to the west and then to the southwest. North of the small town of Tullah , it leaves the lake at the lower end of the dam and flows a few kilometers further into Lake Rosebery , where it forms the Pieman River together with the Murchison River .
