MadTracker is a shareware - Tracker for Microsoft Windows -surface which was programmed by the Belgian Yannick Delwiche (* 1979) and 1998 first published. In addition to the MadTracker mode, MadTracker also has a FastTracker mode and is able to reproduce FastTracker modules ( XM ) largely without errors. The current latest version is 2.6.1 (February 2006).

MadTracker has a 64-track sequencer and a range of real-time effects. Any VST 2.3 effects and instruments can also be integrated. MadTracker can be addressed via MIDI and supports ASIO from older sound cards and ReWire slave only the track mode. In addition to the XM file format, other file formats are also supported: S3M ( Scream Tracker ), IT ( Impulse Tracker ), UMX ( Unreal Music ), MOD ( ProTracker ). However, it is not 100 percent compatible with these formats, so that playback can sometimes be very faulty. The conversion of a MadTracker module into a 24-bit wave file (WAV or AIFF) is only possible with the paid version.

Due to time constraints, the MadTracker project has been put on hold indefinitely.
