The Madagascar glasses bird ( Zosterops maderaspatanus ) is a species of bird in the family of glasses birds . It occurs in the Comoros , Madagascar , Mayotte and the Seychelles .

- Z. m. voeltzkowi ( Reichenow , 1905) - Island of Europe in the Mozambique Strait
description
The Madagascar goggle bird reaches a length of 10-12 centimeters and weighs about 11 g. Its upper side, wings and tail are olive green, the throat well demarcated yellow, chest and belly are pale gray. The characteristic white eye ring on the front of the reddish-brown eye is not closed. The top of the beak is black, the underside gray, legs and feet are blue-gray.
Habitat and way of life
The habitat of the Madagascar goggle bird includes subtropical or tropical dry forest , mangrove forest and mountain forest . It feeds mainly on insects and fruits.
The Madagascar goggle bird usually occurs in larger groups and is very common in Madagascar.
