Madel is a district of the town of Burg (near Magdeburg) in Saxony-Anhalt .

The small town is located south of Burg, a little east of the federal highway 246a leading from Burg to Möckern . Federal Motorway 2 runs north of Madel . The Madelsche Fenn is located in the immediate vicinity on the south-east side of Madel . The small pond is the headwaters of the air trench . At the beginning of 2012 it was desludged.

In 1911 the aviation pioneer Gustav Schultze set up the aircraft factory Gustav Schultze, Burg in Madel . Schultze also ran a flight school here. The pilot Hermann Roeder also worked at this for a time.

From 2007 to 2009, the Burg correctional facility was built southwest of Madel .
