Madeleine Dupont (born May 26, 1987 in Glostrup ) is a Danish curler . She plays in the position of skip.

Career

In 2002 she won the silver medal as a substitute for Dorthe Holm's Danish team at the European Championships . At the European Championships in 2008 she played on the position of fourth in the team of Skip Angelina Jensen and won the bronze medal. The following year the team was able to repeat this success at the European Championships in Aberdeen . The team finished second in the Round Robin, but then lost the page playoff game against Switzerland and the semi-final against Germany with Skip Andrea Schöpp . The next time she took part in a European championship, she finished fifth in the team led by Skip Lene Nielsen in 2016 . The following year she played as the skip of the Danish team and came in eighth place. At the 2018 European Championships , she led her team to seventh place.

In February 2010 Dupont took part in the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver (Canada) as a member of the Danish team led by Angelina Jensen . The team took fifth place. In December 2017, she secured Denmark with her sister Denise Dupont (Third), Julie Høgh (Second),  Mathilde neck (Lead) and  Lina Knudsen (Alternate) by a final victory over the Italian team to Diana Gaspari at the Olympic qualifying tournament in  Pilsen  one of the two last starting places for the  Olympic Winter Games 2018  in  Pyeongchang . There she came with the Danish team after one victory and eight defeats in the Round Robin in tenth and last place.

Dupont has taken part in the world championships several times. In 2007 she won the silver medal with Angelina Jensen's team and the bronze medal in 2009 .

Private life

Dupont comes from a curling family. Her mother Gitte won the bronze medal with the Danish team at the 1990 World Championships and her father Kim took part in the 1980 and 1981 Junior World Championships. Her sister Denise plays on the same team with her and her brother Oliver plays in the Danish men's national team under Rasmus Stjerne .
