Madeleine Goehring

Madeleine Beatrice Göhring (born December 13, 1965 in Hamburg ) is a former Hamburg politician and was a member of the Hamburg Parliament from 1991 to 1993 . She was chairman of the Junge Union Hamburg and belonged to the CDU parliamentary group .

Life

She attended the Grootmoor high school and studied history for a master's degree with minor subjects in German and constitutional law . She wrote her master’s thesis on the Pestalozzi Foundation Hamburg and on the history of private youth welfare in Hamburg.

politics

Göhring joined the Junge Union in 1980 and became its Hamburg state chairman in 1991, and from 1992 she sat on the national board of the Junge Union. For the CDU, she sat on the Hamburg-Alstertal local committee. In addition, she was a deputy in the authority for schools, youth and vocational training and from 1992 to 1995 a member of the Federal Youth Board of Trustees of the Federal Ministry for Women and Youth.

She was the youngest member of the Hamburg parliament at the age of 25 in the 14th electoral term . In 1993, after internal party quarrels, it was no longer used for early citizenship elections.

During the almost two years in Parliament, she was on the Committee on School, Youth and Vocational Training, the Committee on Science and Research and the Committee on Equal Opportunities for Women. In the shortened electoral term , she made a name for herself with frequent speeches and initiatives. She also maintained a constant exchange with younger politicians from other groups.

In 1995 she retired from politics for professional reasons and has since worked for publishers and as a PR consultant.

Madeleine Göhring has lived in Hamburg-Eppendorf since 2006 . She is the deputy chairwoman of the CDU local branch Eppendorf / Hoheluft-Ost.
