Marie-Madeleine Cécile Moreau (born May 1, 1928 in Hanoi , Vietnam , † June 10, 1995 in Chuelles ) was a French diver . She won two European championship titles in jumping and won an Olympic silver medal in 1952.

Moreau celebrated her first major success at the 1947 European Championships in Monte Carlo . She won the title from the 3-meter board and was the first French European champion in jumping . The following year she took part in the Olympic Games in London and finished seventh on the 3-meter board. At the European Championships in Vienna in 1950 , Moreau was able to successfully defend her jumping title. However, Moreau achieved her greatest sporting success at the 1952 Olympic Games in Helsinki . She was able to win the silver medal in jumping behind Patricia McCormick . In the six previous Olympic jumping competitions , only US female divers could win medals, making Moreau the first female athlete to break this dominance.

Moreau started for the clubs UC Paris and CP L'Isle-Adam . She won numerous national titles in jumping.
