The 6th European Swimming Championships took place in Monte Carlo from September 10th to 14th, 1947 and were organized by the Ligue Européenne de Natation (LEN).

The 1947 European Swimming Championships included competitions in swimming , art and high diving as well as the men's water polo tournament.
