The Hungerberg is 601.2 m above sea level. NN high mountain in the Hahnenkamm , a mountain range of the Franconian Alb in the central Franconian district of Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen . He rises in the municipality of the market Heidenheim . About 2.5 km north-northwest of the main summit is the center of Hechlingen , in between, at a distance of 700 m in the same direction after a flat saddle, there is the secondary summit of the Lohbichel ( 594.2 m above sea level ). The Hahnenkammsee lies in front of the western flank of the mountain . There are several burial mounds on the south and north slopes .
