Madison "Madi" Lee Bugg (born August 4, 1994 in Plano , Texas ) is an American volleyball player who has been under contract with ASPTT Mulhouse since 2019 .

Career

society

Bugg began her career in 2008 during her high school years with the Cardinal Gibbons , with whom she was four times Conference Champion and three times State Champion . In 2012, after graduating from Cardinal Gibbons Catholic High School , she moved to Stanford University's volleyball team , where she was active until 2015. There the setter played her way with 5014 assists on place 2 of the all-time best list and reached place 8 in the all-tim ranking with 121 aces in 131 games. After graduating with a major in political science , Bugg moved to Neuchâtel Université Club Volleyball in Switzerland in May 2016 and played with the team a. a. in the CEV Volleyball Challenge Cup .

In May 2017, Dresdner SC announced the commitment of Madison Bugg. She initially signed a two-year contract until 2019. In her first season, Bugg won the Cup with the Dresden club and made it to the playoff semi-finals . For the 2018/2019 season, Bugg pulled the release clause provided for in her contract. On May 11, 2018, Allianz MTV Stuttgart announced the Texan's commitment. In the 2018/19 season, Bugg and Stuttgart made it into the final of the DVV Cup , where they had to admit defeat to the competitor SSC Palmberg Schwerin , as well as winning the German championship . After the end of the season, the club announced the departure of Bugg.

For the 2019/20 season, she signed a one-year contract with the French club ASPTT Mulhouse . After the season was canceled due to the global COVID-19 pandemic , Bugg extended her contract for another season at the beginning of May 2020.

National team

Bugg played for the United States junior volleyball team and is on the roster for the United States women's national volleyball team .

Private

Madison Bugg is the daughter of Robin and Dick Bugg. She has a younger sister and a younger brother. Her mother played as a middle blocker on the University of Tennessee volleyball team , where she received three all-conference honors.
