Magdalena Ritter (born February 18, 1957 in Salzkotten ) is a German actress .

Life

She first studied gymnastics at the Doris Reichmann School in Hanover. In 1976 she began studying at the Hanover University of Music and Theater . During her studies she played at the Münchner Kammerspiele and at the State Theater in Hanover . In 1980 she completed her diploma in performing arts in Hanover. Engagements in the Stadttheater Heidelberg and Staatstheater Krefeld followed .

From 1982 to 1990 she played at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus in Hamburg a. a. with Hannelore Hoger . In 1984 she was named Actress of the Year for her role as Puzzi in Edward Albee's Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? awarded by theater today .

In 1985 she was a guest student at the Alfred Adler Institute in Zurich for psychology. For the first time she directed a free dance theater group in Hamburg. Magdalena Ritter also dealt intensively with photography. She got an engagement at the Schillertheater in Berlin.

This was followed by feature films and television productions in Munich and France. For several years she worked as a freelance in theater, film and television and starred in TV and feature films. Her partners included Barbara Nüsse , Peter Roggisch , Peter Gavajda , Hans Peter Korff , Harald Juhnke , Heiner Lauterbach and Rainer Hunold .

In episode 1 of the second season of In the Name of the Law , Ritter is in the role of prosecutor Dr. To see Karin Kerstin. Instead of Britta Schmeling she was cut into the opening credits, which was unique in the history of the series.

Magdalena Ritter worked on film in Sweden, Spain, Romania, the Netherlands and Italy and spent a long time in the USA (Virginia, Boston, New York). She has lived in Berlin since 1990.
