Magnus Pahl (born September 2, 1975 in Lübeck ) is a historian and German officer ( Lieutenant Colonel dR).

Pahl went through army officer training with the Bundeswehr . From 2000 to 2005 he studied history , education and political science at the Helmut Schmidt University / University of the Federal Armed Forces Hamburg (MA). After graduating, he was used as an intelligence officer. From 2007 to 2010 he was a research associate at the Military History Research Office in Potsdam. In 2011 he became a student of Nikolaus Katzer at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at HSU / UniBwH with the dissertation Fremde Heere Ost . Hitler's military enemy reconnaissance for Dr. phil. PhD.

Since 2011 he has been head of the medals and varia and curator at the Military History Museum of the Bundeswehr in Dresden . His research interests are intelligence services and the military history of the 20th century.
