Mahmoud Kalari
Mahmoud Kalari (* 1951 in Tehran ) is an Iranian cameraman , photographer , actor , director and screenwriter . In his long career, Kalari has worked with Iranian filmmakers such as Mohsen Makhmalbaf , Ali Hatami , Masoud Kimiai and Abbas Kiarostami .
Life
Kalari began his career as a photographer and worked as a cameraman from the mid-1980s. In 1997 he made his directorial debut with the film Abr-O Aftaab , for which he was also responsible for the script and camera work.
Kalari was honored for his life's work at the 2014 Silk Road Film Festival in Dublin , Ireland .
His son Koohyar Kalari also works as a cameraman.
