Maik Kunze (born March 8, 1977 in Zeitz ) is a German soccer coach and former player.

Athletic career

Kunze began his career at Chemie Zeitz and then at Halleschen FC U19. In 1996 he moved to VfB Leipzig . There he played until July 1, 2000 then he went to FC Erzgebirge Aue , who played in the Regionalliga Nord . In 2002 Kunze moved to the second division club VfB Lübeck , but was only active there for one year. After his time in Lübeck , Kunze went back to Aue . He was under contract from 2003 to 2005 at FC Erzgebirge, which has now been promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga . After his time in Saxony, he went to Thuringia for FC Carl Zeiss Jena for a year . He then returned to Halleschen FC and played there from 2006 to 2009.

Career as a coach

In July 2011 Kunze became player-coach at SV Blau-Weiß Zorbau .
