Maike Seuren (born November 19, 1986 in Siegen ) is a German soccer player who plays for the Bundesliga club 1. FC Köln .

Career

Maike Seuren played in her youth at SV Grün-Weiß Brauweiler and in 2003 moved to SpVgg Oberaußem-Fortuna in the then second-class Regionalliga West , with which she qualified in 2004 for the newly founded 2. Bundesliga North. In the 2004/05 season, Seuren joined the Bundesliga relegated FFC Brauweiler Pulheim , with whom she was immediately promoted back to the Bundesliga in the same year . She made her first division debut on the second match day of the 2005/06 season when she was substituted on for Isabell Borchert in the 2-0 away defeat against Hamburger SV after the half-time break . In 2006 Seuren moved to the USA, where she played at Florida State University for the Florida State Seminoles , among other things together with her former teammate Kathrin Schmidt , and was used there in four games. In May 2007 she returned to Germany and played the last five games of the season for Pulheim, which was relegated to the second Bundesliga South at the end of the season as bottom of the table .

After Pulheim's relegation to the Regionalliga West at the end of the 2007/08 season , Seuren joined the then second division Bayer 04 Leverkusen for the 2008/09 season , where she played eight league games. After only one season he switched to the league competitor 1. FC Köln , which had just emerged from the FFC Brauweiler Pulheim. Since then she has been a regular player there and barely missed promotion to the Bundesliga as runner-up in the 2010/11 and 2012/13 seasons .
