The Maimakan ( Russian Маймакан ) is a left tributary of the Maja in the catchment area of the Lena in the Khabarovsk region in the Far East of Russia .
It rises in the Jugdschur Mountains . It flows in a predominantly northerly direction to the Maja, which the river reaches after 421 km. It drains an area of 18,900 km². The main tributaries are Tschumikan from the left, and Odola , Magei , Nagim and Kundumi from the right.
