Maintalhöhenringweg
The Maintalhöhenringweg connects Aschaffenburg with Gemünden on three sides of the Mainviereck over a distance of 160 km . The marking is "R".

The route initially runs southwards via Sulzbach , Rück , Klingenberg , past Miltenberg , and further east over the ruins of Collenburg , Dorfprozelten , the hamlet of Hofthiergarten, the Henneburg near Stadtprozelten , Faulbach and Hasloch to Kreuzwertheim . Now the route turns north via Triefenstein , Marktheidenfeld , the district of Zimmer, Erlach , Lohr and just past the upper basin of the Langenprozelten pumped storage power plant on the Sohlhöhe , before heading east again via the Sindersbacher Mühlen and Zollberg to Langenprozelten and Gemünden .
Stages
The hiking trail through the Main Valley is divided into seven equally long stages with a walking time between three and seven hours.
- 1st stage: from Aschaffenburg to Hofstetten: Length: 21 km
- 2nd stage: from Hofstetten to Großheubach: length: 26 km
- 3rd stage: from Großheubach to Dorfprozelten: length: 23 km
- 4th stage: from Dorfprozelten to Wertheim: Length: 22 km
- 5th stage: from Wertheim to Marktheidenfeld: length: 16 km
- 6th stage: from Marktheidenfeld to Lohr a. Main: Length: 21 km
- 7th stage: from Lohr a. Main to Gemünden: Length: 22 km
