Maja Sprenger
Maja Sprenger (born September 11, 1944 in Marburg , † June 6, 1976 in Rome ) was a German classical archaeologist whose main focus was Etruscology .
After attending grammar school in Karlsruhe , she studied Classical Archeology, Ancient History and Sinology in Marburg, Hamburg, Berlin, Freiburg and Rome from 1964 to 1967. At the University of Freiburg she was born on July 10, 1970 with Walter-Herwig Schuchhardt with the work The Etruscan Sculpture of the 5th Century BC. And her relationship to Greek art . In 1971/72 she received a travel grant from the German Archaeological Institute .
She died as a result of a traffic accident. Her grave is in the Protestant cemetery in Rome.
