The Helpe Majeure is a river in France that runs in the Nord department in the Hauts-de-France region . It rises in the municipality of Ohain , directly on the border with Belgium , near the Belgian city of Momignies . The river initially runs along the border to the north, then swings to the west and flows into the Sambre after 69 kilometers north of Noyelles-sur-Sambre as a right tributary .
