Sémeries is a French municipality with 546 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in Nord in the region of Hauts-de-France . It belongs to the arrondissement of Avesnes-sur-Helpe and the canton of Fourmies (until 2015: canton of Avesnes-sur-Helpe-Nord ). The inhabitants are called Sémerisiens .

geography

Sémeries is about 54 kilometers east of Cambrai near the Belgian border . Sémeries is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Felleries in the north, Ramousies in the east and northeast, Sains-du-Nord in the east and southeast, Rainsars in the south and southeast, Étrœungt in the south and southwest, Avesnelles in the west and southwest and Flaumont-Waudrechies in the west and Northwest.
