It belongs to the canton of Aulnoye-Aymeries (until 2015 canton of Berlaimont ) in the arrondissement of Avesnes-sur-Helpe . It borders Aulnoye-Aymeries in the north-west, Bachant and Écuélin in the north, Saint-Aubin in the east, Saint-Hilaire-sur-Helpe in the south, Dompierre-sur-Helpe (point of contact) in the south-west and Monceau in the west -Saint-Waast .

The former Route nationale 361 leads via Saint-Remy-Chaussée.
