Floursies is a commune in the French department of Nord in the region of Hauts-de-France . It belongs to the canton of Avesnes-sur-Helpe (until 2015 canton Avesnes-sur-Helpe-Nord ) in the Arrondissement of Avesnes-sur-Helpe . It is bordered to the northwest by Éclaibes , to the north by Beaufort , to the northeast by Wattignies-la-Victoire , to the east by Beugnies and to the south and west by Dourlers . The residents call themselves Floursiciens or Floursiciennes.
