Obies is a municipality with 686 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the French department of Nord in the region of Hauts-de-France . It belongs to the canton of Aulnoye-Aymeries (until 2015 canton Bavay ) in the arrondissement of Avesnes-sur-Helpe . It is bordered by Bavay to the north, Mecquignies to the east, Locquignol to the south and Bermeries to the west .
