Quiévelon is a commune in northern France . It belongs to the Hauts-de-France region , the Nord department , the Avesnes-sur-Helpe arrondissement , the Fourmies canton ( canton Maubeuge-Sud until 2015 ) and the Maubeuge Val de Sambre municipal association (formerly Vallées de la Solre, de la Thure) et de l'Helpe ). It borders Colleret to the north, Aibes to the east and south, Obrechies to the southwest and Ferrière-la-Petite to the west . The residents call themselves Quiévelonnais.
