The Canton Maubeuge-Sud was 2015 a French canton in the Arrondissement Avesnes-sur-Helpe , in the Nord and in the region of Nord-Pas-de-Calais ; its main town was Maubeuge . Philippe Dronsart ( PS ) was the last representative on the Department's General Council from 2004 to 2015 .

The canton of Maubeuge-Sud had 35,958 inhabitants ( as of January 1, 2012 ).
