The canton of Marcq-en-Barœul was a French canton in the arrondissement of Lille , in the Nord department and in the Nord-Pas-de-Calais region until 2015 . Its main town was Marcq-en-Barœul . From 1988 to 2013 Jean-René Lecerf ( UMP ) was the representative in the Department's General Council . He was followed by Isabelle Frémaux (also UMP).
