Boussois is a French municipality with 3231 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Nord in the region of Hauts-de-France . The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Avesnes-sur-Helpe and the canton of Maubeuge . The inhabitants are called Beuxédiens .

geography

Boussois is located on the Sambre River near the Belgian border. Boussois is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Vieux-Reng in the north, Marpent in the east, Recquignies in the south, Assevent in the west and Élesmes in the northwest.

The former route nationale 49 (today's D649) runs through the municipality .
