Neuville-en-Avesnois is a municipality with 304 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the French department of Nord in the region of Hauts-de-France . It belongs to the canton of Avesnes-sur-Helpe (until 2015 canton of Le Quesnoy-Est ) in the arrondissement of Avesnes-sur-Helpe . It is bordered by Beaudignies in the northwest , Salesches in the northeast, Poix-du-Nord in the southeast, Vendegies-au-Bois in the south and Romeries in the west . The settlement area is 115 meters above sea level.
