Boussières-sur-Sambre is a French commune in the Nord in the region of Hauts-de-France . It belongs to the canton of Aulnoye-Aymeries (until 2015 canton of Hautmont ) in the arrondissement of Avesnes-sur-Helpe . It borders on Vieux-Mesnil in the north-west, Hautmont in the north- east, Saint-Remy-du-Nord in the south-east and Pont-sur-Sambre in the south-west . The Sambre forms the municipal boundary in the south. The residents call themselves Boussiérois or Boussiéroises.
