Dimechaux is a commune in northern France . It belongs to the Hauts-de-France region , the Nord department , the Avesnes-sur-Helpe arrondissement , the Fourmies canton (until 2015: Solre-le-Château canton ) and the Cœur de l'Avesnois communal association (formerly Vallées de la Solre , de la Thure et de l'Helpe ). It is bordered to the northwest by Wattignies-la-Victoire , Damousies and Obrechies , to the north by Choisies , to the east by Solrinnes , to the southeast by Lez-Fontaine and to the south and west by Dimont .
