Malay is a municipality in the Philippines in the province of Aklan . It has 52,973 inhabitants (August 1, 2015 census). It has an area of 67.31 km² and a population density of 364 inhabitants per square kilometer.
geography
The municipality belongs to the Western Visayas Administrative Region and the only district in Aklan Province. The resort -Insel Boracay is geographically a part of the township and unites more than 60 percent of the municipality's population in coming. It is administered by the Philippine Tourism Authority and the Provincial Government of Aklan Province. Portions of the Northwest Panay Peninsula Natural Park are in the parish territory.
