Maldifassi Shoal ( Spanish Bajo Maldifassi ) is a shoal in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . In Discovery Bay on Greenwich Island , it is located 320 m west of Skarmeta Rocks and north of Ferrer Point at a water depth of 7 m below sea level . It consists of rocks that fall dry when the tide is low .

Scientists from the 2nd Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1947–1948) mapped and named them. It is named after Oreste Maldifassi T., a member of the expedition. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee translated this designation into English in 2004.
