Malente (DJ)

Malente (bourgeois Christoph Göttsch , * in Malente ) is a German DJ and music producer .

Malente's style can best be described as bass-heavy, rocky , funky electro house . Since 1999 5 albums and quite a few 12 ″ and downloads have been released on the Düsseldorf label Unique Records. There have been further releases since 2004 on the Hamburg label Moonbootique , on Norman Cook's label Southern Fried Records , on A-Traks label Fool's Gold, on Steve Aoki's label Dim Mak and Malente's own label No Brainer Records.

In addition to his own productions, Malente has also created remixes for well-known musicians such as Armand Van Helden , Moonbootica , Audio Bullys , Turntablerocker , Bob Sinclar and others. In 2007 and 2009 he was elected Top National Act of the German Club Charts (DCC).

Malente has formed a permanent team since 2004 with Lars Moston, who is based in Berlin , as a DJ and producer duo Moston & Malente . And Malente has also been working with Daniel Dexter AKA Dex from the Acidkids since 2008. As Malente & Dex several are 12 "is on the label appeared Exploited Records.

Göttsch published from 1997 to 2001 under the name Gautsch on sampling -based indie pop with German rap . A well-known single was Rave Girls from 1998.
