Malleichen ( westallgäuerisch Malloich e ) is a district of the Bavarian - Swabian community Gestratz in Lindau (Bodensee) .
The desert is in the west of the municipality, 1.3 km from Gestratz and immediately southeast of the state border with Baden-Württemberg . In the northwest the Obere Argen touches the place. The only existing property is now used as a restaurant.
The place is mentioned for the first time in a land register in 1522, and in 1778 it was first mentioned as a commercial enterprise. From 1880 to 1930 Malleichen was a so-called bath economy. With the water from a nearby mineral spring, baths were offered in addition to the normal host business. In 1883 Alois Natterer bought the restaurant. It remained in the family until the landlady Babett Natterer's death in 1983, and since then it has belonged to the Meckatzer Löwenbräu .
Malaichen was the place of justice for the "free people of Eglofs ".
