Manfred Baldauf (born January 7, 1952 in Püttlingen ) is a German politician ( FDP / DPS ).

Life

education and profession

Initially, Manfred Baldauf attended secondary school in Völklingen from 1963 to 1969 . From 1969 he completed an apprenticeship at the Saarland financial administration. After graduating from high school in 1975 at the Saarland College in Saarbrücken , he studied law at the Saarland University . In 1982 he opened his own law firm in Püttlingen , which still exists today. Manfred Baldauf has also been admitted as a specialist lawyer for tax law since 1985 and has been a sworn auditor of the Chamber of Public Accountants in Düsseldorf since 1990 . Until 2015, he worked as commercial director at the Völklinger Hütte World Heritage Site . The attitude had been criticized by the state audit office.

Manfred Baldauf has been married to his wife Iris for over 30 years and has a daughter (Denise Baldauf) who is also active in politics.

Political party

Baldauf has been a member of the FDP / DPS since 1986. From 1989 to 1994 he was a member of the Völklingen city ​​council . From 1990 to 1994 he was also a member of the state board of the FDP / DPS. Since January 2002 he was again a member of the state executive committee of the FDP / DPS in the function of deputy chairman. Since May 2003 he has also held the office of district chairman of the FDP Saarbrücken Land-West. In 2001 he was a candidate for mayor in Püttlingen and achieved a result of 15%. In June 2004 he succeeded in returning to the City Association Day in Saarbrücken Castle with the FDP. In 2006, Baldauf also ran for the office of city council president. In the election on March 12, 2006, however, he was only able to achieve a result of 4.6% and was therefore defeated by his opponents.

Manfred Baldauf was 2004 to No. 2 in the state list as a deputy in the parliament of Saarland move. There he was parliamentary manager of the FDP parliamentary group . He did not succeed in being re-elected in the 2009 state elections because his party no longer gave him a secure place on the state list.
