Manfred Erren

Manfred Erren (born December 9, 1928 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) is a German classical philologist .

Life

Manfred Erren studied Classical Philology and Romance Studies in Freiburg, Tübingen and Munich from 1948 to 1954 and received his doctorate in 1956 from the University of Freiburg . From 1956 to 1959 he was an assistant at the University of Mainz . In 1966 he completed his habilitation at the University of Freiburg. On May 29, 1972 he became an adjunct professor there . He has been retired since March 31, 1994.

From 1976 to 1998 he was the founder and chairman of the traditional liturgical and sedevacantist congregation of St. Pius V in Freiburg.
