Manfred Häder

Manfred Häder (* 1954 in Darmstadt ) is a German blues musician ( guitar , vocals ). He is considered to be one of the outstanding figures of the German blues scene, whose guitar sound is highly recognizable. In addition to the classic Chicago blues , Häder also focuses on soul and funk .

Live and act

Häder began his musical career in 1976. In that year he founded the Frankfurt City Blues Band, which was successful at home and abroad, and remained a member of it for several years. Since the mid- 1980s , Häder has been playing primarily in his own formations with different line-ups ("Andex B", "Die Exbluesion", "Matchbox Bluesband", "Bluesconnection Frankfurt"). He demonstrated his abilities as a soloist and accompanist in interaction with the blues greats Alexis Korner , Louisiana Red , Katie Webster , Phillip Walker, Charlie Musselwhite , Alan Skidmore, Eddie Vaan Shaw and Inga Rumpf.

In 2006 he appeared with Manfred Häder & Bänd on his award-winning record production Exbluesiv with his own songs in German. At the end of 2008 the follow-up album Live nach one was released , which - apart from the first studio title - was recorded on February 8, 2008 at a performance in the " Sinkkasten " music club in Frankfurt . The band was supported by Ali Neander, the guitarist of the Rodgau Monotones .

Manfred Häder lives in Frankfurt am Main.
