Manfred Schwarz (born June 2, 1956 in Waiblingen ) is a German chef .

Life

After completing his training, he went to the Hotel Hilton in Düsseldorf in 1979 with Günter Scherrer , and in 1980 he went to Tantris with Heinz Winkler in Munich. Then he moved to the Swiss parlors in Wertheim-Bettingen and to the “Crocodil” in Strasbourg. From 1982 to 1989 he was head chef at the “Bareiss” in Baiersbronn , where in 1984 he was the youngest two-star chef in Germany to achieve the second Michelin star. He then headed the Deidesheimer Hof in Deidesheim from 1989 to 2003 .

From the end of 2003 to the end of 2013 he ran “schwarz Das Restaurant” in Heidelberg, for which he was also awarded a Michelin star. The restaurant was on the 12th floor of the “Print Media Academy” of Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG .

From January 2013, Schwarz worked as head chef and potential operator at Götzenburg near Jagsthausen, but the contract was terminated prematurely in April 2013.

From spring 2014 to February 2015 he headed the club restaurant of the Bruchsal Golf Club , which consisted of a clubhouse restaurant and a gourmet lounge called Das kleine Schwarze . At the same time he was employed at the Heitlinger winery in Östringen-Tiefenbach.

From December 2015 to December 2016 he ran the Schwarzberg restaurant in Löhrbach .

In spring 2017, Schwarz opened the Schwarz Restaurant in Kirchheim an der Weinstrasse , which was awarded a Michelin star in the same year.
