Manfred Timmermann

Manfred Albert Timmermann (born October 19, 1936 in Bremen ; † June 9, 2004 ) was a German economist .

Life

After studying economics at the universities of Frankfurt and Kiel with a doctorate (Dr. sc. Pol.), He worked as an assistant at the universities of Berlin and Mannheim. He worked for the Drägerwerk in Lübeck and for the management consultancy Prognos in Basel . Then in 1973 he was appointed to a chair for administrative science at the University of Konstanz .

From 1984 to 1989 Manfred Timmermann was State Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Defense , then Head of Controlling at Deutsche Bank and Professor of Business Administration at the University of St. Gallen . From 1999 he was Chairman of the Board of Directors of Saurer AG in Arbon .
