Manglerud Star Ishockey is the ice hockey department of the Norwegian sports club IL Manglerud Star from Oslo, founded in 1913 . The team plays in the GET league and plays its home games in the Manglerudhallen .

history

The club was founded in 1913. In the following years, the team played regularly in the second division 1. divisjon and the GET-ligaen , the highest Norwegian league. The team's greatest success was winning the Norwegian championship title in 1977 and 1978. In 2009 Manglerud Star was promoted to the GET league, in which he only secured relegation in the 2010/11 season .

In 2012 the club was relegated to the first division and in 2014 was promoted to the top division.
