Marius Trygg (born June 1, 1976 in Oslo ) is a Norwegian ice hockey player ( striker ) who currently plays for the Stavanger Oilers in the GET league . In 1999 he made his debut for the national team . His twin brother Mats Trygg and his brother Mathias Trygg are also professional ice hockey players.

Career

Marius Trygg began his career as a hockey player in the youth department of Manglerud Star Ishockey , before he was active from 1994 to 1996 for the professional team of the Spektrum Flyers in the GET-ligaen , the highest Norwegian league. He then returned to Manglerud Star Ishockey for three years. In the summer of 1999, the winger signed a contract with Färjestad BK in the Swedish Elitserien . Played here for four years and became Swedish champions in 2002 and runners-up in 2001 and 2003. From 2003 to 2005 he then played for one year each in the second-rate HockeyAllsvenskan for Hammarby IF and the Nybro Vikings .

The 2005/06 season spent at Trygg ETC Crimmitschau in the hockey league , the third tier of German football. There he was able to convince with 42 scorer points, including 16 goals, in 31 games, after which he returned to his Norwegian homeland, where he received a contract with the Stavanger Oilers . With these he became Norwegian champion for the first time in his career in the 2009/10 season and runner-up a year later.

International

For Norway , Trygg took part in the junior division at the U18 European Junior Championships in 1994 and the U20 Junior B World Championships in 1994 and 1995 . In the senior sector, he was in his country's squad at the B World Championships in 2002 , 2003 , 2004 and 2005 and at the A World Championships in 1999 , 2000 , 2001 , 2006 and 2007 .
