Nybro IF is a Swedish football club from Nybro . The club played a total of twelve years in the second division.
history
Nybro IF was one of the founding members of the third-class Division 3 Sydöstra in 1928 . There the team initially established itself in midfield, before intervening in the promotion race several times from the mid-1930s. As a season winner, she moved in 1941 in the promotion games to the second division, in which Karlskrona BK was defeated. In Division 2 Södra , the club played in the front right away, in 1943 the team finished third, four points behind season winner IS Halmia . The slump followed in 1947 when the team was ninth in the table together with Kalmar AIK , Olofströms IF , Malmö BI and Alets IK after a league reform into the third division. In the following year, the fall into the fourth class followed, which was followed by direct resurgence.
Nybro IF established itself again in the third division. In the 1953/54 season, the team lost only one game and thus managed to return to the second division as a season winner. There she played against relegation, which was accepted in 1957 as third from bottom together with BK Kenty and Gunnarstorps IF . After two years in the front division, the club rose again in 1960 to the fourth division. In 1976 Nybro IF succeeded in returning to the third level, which was followed by direct relegation and two years later, the slide into fifth division. In 1984 the club reported back in the third division, but two years later fell victim to a league reform and played fourth class again. 1990 succeeded the renewed promotion and three years later the team only missed the renewed promotion to the second division in the relegation against IFK Västerås . After relegation in 1994, he returned two years later. As a climber, the club moved back into the relegation to the second division, this time it failed because of IS Halmia. At first he continued to play for promotion before slipping into relegation battle at the beginning of the new millennium. In 2002, the team ended the season on a relegation place and had to relegate after a loss to Jonsereds IF .
As runner-up in the table, Nybro IF moved into the promotion round to the third division in 2003, but lost to Karlskrona AIF after two defeats. With 20 wins from 22 season games, the team won their fourth division season in 2004, but could not hold the class as the penultimate in the following year and was transferred from the third to the fifth division as a victim of a league reform. There they won the relay in 2007, so that the club rose to the fourth division. After three years, however, the relegation followed at the end of 2010.
