Prince William loves the destitute peasant girl Jessie, but the mother of the prince and queen of the kingdom captain-king is against the union of the two. But the love for his Jessie is stronger and so the prince wants to flee the country with his chosen one to get married and build a life together. During the escape, the two are caught by the queen's guards and the couple is separated during the fight. When the situation threatens to escalate, the queen appears with her retinue and a magician who offers the peasant girl a gold necklace set with jewels . The prince would like to give it to his loved ones as a token of his everlasting love, but notices too late that the necklace was cursed, because the necklace turns his Jessie into a mannequin and must remain in this form for 1000 years until she finds true love has found.

1000 years later: The young Jason Williamson starts his first day at the shopping center "Prince & Company" as an assistant to the eccentric but lovable Hollywood Montrose. For an event in honor of the Kingdom of Captain-King, Jessie, who has become known as the "enchanted peasant girl", is to be brought to the shopping center and when Jason and Jessie meet for the first time, Jessie accidentally brings her to life by removing the necklace from her . Jessie immediately recognizes her Prince William (both played by Ragsdale) in the young Jason and the two go out to eat and dance in a club. Jason is also immediately attracted by the fascinating beauty, who repeatedly assures him of her love, and falls in love with her. She sleeps with him and the next day, in the unclear what will happen, she puts on the necklace again and then becomes the enchanted mannequin again. Jason, not knowing anything about the enchanted necklace, is afraid he has lost his mind and brings the doll back to the mall.

The count and descendant of the sorcerer, meanwhile, has very different plans and plans to transform the enchanted Jessie back and marry her. Little does he know that Jason has already seen Jessie in her true form and has fallen in love with her. By chance, Hollywood sees Jessie brought back to the mall by Jason and tries on her necklace, whereupon he becomes a doll and she comes to life again. She goes on a shopping spree through the building and also changes her appearance with a new hairstyle and new clothes. Jason meets Jessie again at the moment when the count recognizes Jason, the prince of yesteryear, and Jessie escapes with a stolen go-kart to Jason's home, where the two see each other again and plan to go into hiding together.

However, the count gets ahead of them and puts the necklace on Jessie again. Jason, who is being taken away by the police for theft, realizes that the cursed Collier is to blame for everything and tries to defend himself against the arrest, the attempt is unsuccessful and Jason is sent to prison. There he is finally rescued by his mother and Hollywood by a trick and the three of them sneak in disguise as TV reporters to the event of "Prince & Company". There is a big showdown between the prince and the count, whereupon he and Jessie flee to the roof, where a hot air balloon is waiting to take the count away. Jason doesn't give up, however, and manages to hold onto a rope and climb it. There is another fight, in the course of which Jessie steals the necklace and puts it on the Count, cursing him for 1000 years. The prince and princess are finally happily united and the wedding is on.
