Manuel León Hoyos (born February 10, 1989 in Mérida ) is a Mexican chess player .
He won the Mexican individual championship in Mexico City in 2010. He played for Mexico at three Chess Olympiads : 2010 to 2014 .
In the 2011 World Chess Cup he failed in the first round to Alexei Schirow .
In 2005 he was awarded the title of International Master (IM). The title of Grand Master (GM) was awarded to him in 2008.
