Manuel Lisboa de Oliveira

Manuel Lisboa de Oliveira (born February 25, 1916 in Monte Alegre da Bahía , Bahia , Brazil , † January 24, 2002 ) was a Brazilian clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Nazaré .

Life

Manuel Lisboa de Oliveira was ordained a priest on June 27, 1948 .

Pope John XXIII appointed him on February 25, 1963 Bishop of Nazaré . The Bishop of Montes Claros , José Alves de Sà Trindade , donated him episcopal ordination on May 26th of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Antônio de Mendonça Monteiro , Bishop of Bonfim , and Jackson Berenguer Prado , Bishop of Feira de Santana .

He participated in the second to fourth session of the Second Vatican Council as a council father.

Pope John Paul II accepted his early resignation on November 7, 1986.
