José Alves de Sà Trindade

José Alves de Sà Trindade (born October 7, 1912 in Lagoa Dourada , Minas Gerais , Brazil , † March 8, 2005 ) was a Brazilian clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Montes Claros .

Life

José Alves de Sà Trindade was ordained a priest on March 27, 1937 .

Pope Pius XII appointed him Bishop of Bonfim on September 4, 1948 . The Archbishop of Mariana , Helvécio Gomes de Oliveira SDB , donated him episcopal ordination on November 21 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were João Batista Cavati CM , Bishop of Caratinga , and Daniel Tavares Baeta Neves , Auxiliary Bishop in Mariana.

On May 27, 1956, he was appointed Bishop of Montes Claros. He participated in all four sessions of the Second Vatican Council as a council father.

On June 1, 1988, Pope John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation.
