The Archdiocese of Feira de Santana ( lat. : Archidioecesis Fori Sanctae Annae ) is in Brazil located Roman Catholic Archdiocese based in Feira de Santana in the state of Bahia .

history

The diocese Feira de Santana was on July 21, 1962 by Pope John XXIII. built with the Papal Bull Novae Ecclesiae from cessions of territory of the Archdiocese of São Salvador da Bahia and subordinated to this as a suffragan . On January 16, 2002, the diocese Feira de Santana was raised to an archdiocese by Pope John Paul II with the Apostolic Constitution Ad totius dominici gregis . The Archdiocese of Feira de Santana gave on September 21, 2005 parts of its territory to establish the Diocese of Serrinha .
